Vodafone Includes 4G in All Handset Bundles

In an overall boost to its 4G service offering Vodafone is now offering 4G automatically on all pay monthly agreements that include a 4G compatible handset.

Vodafone UK has announced a number of improvements to its 4G service offering, the most notable of which is that all pay monthly handset bundles will now automatically include 4G. Of course they will still need to choose a 4G compatible handset and live within an area where Vodafone has 4G coverage for this to apply. Handsets available as part of the new Vodafone deals include the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (both available to pre-order) and the HTC One M9. Customers can get a better deal by trading in their old Samsung Galaxy or HTC One handsets.

Increased 4G data allowances

In addition to including 4G in all handset bundles, which will make it more competitive with rival networks such as Three, Vodafone has announced increased data allowances on its Red Value Bundles. 24 month bundles with free 4G ready handsets include:

  • Red Value 4GB Bundle with unlimited calls and texts for £54 per month
  • Red Value 8GB Bundle with unlimited calls and texts for £59 per month
  • Red Value 15GB Bundle with unlimited calls and texts for £64 per month
  • Red Value 25GB Bundle with unlimited calls and texts for £70 per month

Entertainment packages

These Red Value Bundles include Vodafone’s Ultimate 4G Entertainment Package where customers can choose a Spotify Premium, Sky Sports Mobile TV, or NOW TV Entertainment Pass as part of their bundle.

UK to Europe calls included

Another benefit of these Red Value Bundles is the inclusion of calls back to the UK from selected European countries. Vodafone Euro Traveller will be included in the bundle, allowing customers to use their usual data, text, and voice minutes allowance in Europe for an additional £3 per day, but customers with a Red Value Bundle will be able to make voice calls back to the UK without triggering this additional daily payment.

Fixed price promise

Finally Vodafone has announced a Fixed Price Promise to protect its customers from line rental price rises that may occur mid-contract. Assuming customers stay within their allowances, their monthly price will remain the same for the duration of their contract.

According to Cindy Rose, Consumer Director at Vodafone UK, “Our customers told us that they wanted more data and access to our 4G network, regardless of what agreement they are on.  Whether they’re passionate about this season’s must-see boxsets on NOW TV, the latest tunes on Spotify Premium, or keeping up to date with all the action on Sky Sports Mobile TV, they can do thanks to our 4G network and bigger data allowances. With our new bundle structure and Fixed Price Promise, Vodafone customers have the flexibility and security to enjoy more of what they love safe in the knowledge their line rental cost will remain the same for the contract term, making Vodafone the network they can depend on.”
